Has Digsby really joined the dark side? A trick to love Digsby again

Well sure, back in its days of glory, you loved Digsby more than any other messaging client or social plugin, that you decided to get rid of all others.

But quite unfortunately, after Digsby joined the dark side by filling its InstallIQ installer screens with adware and turd, your love for it died exponentially without even a bit of regret.

But hey, the world isn’t yet about to explode… there is still a solution to this problem. Forget the gas-filled InstallIQ installer and meet and greet a hidden standalone installer.

Re-blogging

After being inactive on this blog for a good number of weeks, I have decided to sit again on the blogger’s console and start over. A pretty bad number of things got messed up, and so I had to take the leave. But now I’m back and bloggin’, so expect new and fruity tech posts soon…

InTEXTicated (driving while texting)

A very fast quickie here:

Coolbuster blogged about InTEXTication, or the notorious habit of texting while driving. He wrote about an 18-year-old girl who rammed dead-center into the rear of another vehicle, while running at 70mph. Not only did she perfectly destroy her 2008 Yukov SUV and the vehicle in front of her, but she also nearly, horribly nearly took away the life of an innocent 3-year-old child.

With very tight luck and the goodwill of the Lord, she escaped the accident unscathed and the child was able to recover well quickly.

Read about it here: http://coolbusteratyourservice.blogspot.com/2009/02/intexticated-driving-while-texting.html

We at KIX|TRIX whole-heartedly support this campaign, and so we urge you to email this to friends or even blog this… this is for a good cause. Let’s all fight InTEXTication!

I can update WordPress! [Finally]

This is an update to I Can’t Update WordPress!

After a very helpful response by commenter Jon from Moongrabber.com, I was finally able to update WordPress.

How did I do it?

As overlooked by my blasted stupidity, the built-in WordPress Updater was having conflicts with the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin, resulting to an upgrade failure. By deactivating the WordPress Automatic plugin during the built-in WordPress update process, the conflict was resolved, therefore allowing a smooth update.

Thanks a ton, Jon!
