Out of all the TED videos I’ve seen recently, I have to admit — ‘Johnny Lee: Creating tech marvels out of a $40 Wii Remote‘ is one of the most amazing videos I’ve watched. He combines sophisticated software with non-expensive hardware and a Wii mote to create amazing educational tools; such as $50 electronic whiteboards, multi-touch interfaces, and 3-D head-mounted viewers.
Best of all, the software he used on the demo is free to download from his site, so you can do everything he did with a Wii-mote.

…and say hello to the GE Holographic disc, which can store up to 500GB of data!
Scientists at GE Laboratories have achieved this extreme capacity by writing data under the surface of the disc, as opposed to present-day discs which can be written at the top layer only.

Here’s another video that caught my attention five minutes ago…
Remember the old school video game, the classic Breakout? Well, the Google team from Japan made an awesome animation using some blocks, and LOTS of imagination and patience.
Cool, huh? The background music makes it even cooler.
Well yes, genius Google marketing…
